If you don't know the PLAN, you will not Appreciate the PROCESS

Imagine I walk into your living room right now and start moving things. I remove the television from where it is and I placed it on the cushion and I'm moving the center table, removing the curtains on the wall. I'm sure the first thing you would say to me is "Guy, how far? Wetin happen? What are you doing?". To me, I have the picture of the readjustment I want to do, but to you I am scattering your house.

Peter had the same issue with Jesus. In the passage above, Jesus just finished having a wonderful meeting of self unveiling to his disciples. Making them understand that He is indeed the long awaited Messiah. Do you know how comforting that was to them? Especially now that they were under the strong arms of the Romans? Not long after that, Jesus began to tell them that He would be captured, tortured and crucify. But on that He would also rise on the third day.
Peter was like, wait a minute "Jesus, what are you saying? Why are you messing up this whole Messiah stuff?" He said far be with from you Lord. Jesus had to rebuke him immediately saying “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

Just like Peter, a lot of us are struggling with what God is doing in our lives because we can't see the full picture. Many times we ask, How can this be the plan of God? And funnily, a lot of us pray against God's plan for our lives, simply because the road the Lord is leading us doesn't seem to be leading anywhere.
For Peter, how can dying be part of God's plan to save Israel? But over time we've come to see that, indeed that process of dying was the greatest plan ever.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
