The Lord's PRAYER||The Effective PRAYER. #2

_Dear Lord, I thank you for the gift of your Word. Open thou the eyes of my understanding that I may see you clearly._
_And as your children we ask, Teach us Lord how to Pray Amen_

What if I tell you that the access to all you would ever need in this life and beyond is found inside this 30 seconds prayer called the Lord's PRAYER? Yes, I mean it can be gotten in just praying the Lord's Prayer alone. Surprised right?

Who needs a well articulated speech to talk to his father that he is in good terms with? Why do I need to construct an essay to ask my dad for something, when I can just simply walk in and say "daddy good morning/Afternoon/Evening. Daddy please I need the car keys to go get something". If he sees that my reason is genuine, he not only gives me the key, but also add money to buy fuel (gas).

Jesus was teaching his Disciples how to pray from a point that they must have known the father. In fact from their desire to learn how to pray, it shows that the long for a deeper relationship with the Father, just as Jesus has. They wanted getting closer to God, and thus they asked Jesus to teach them how to pray.
Although they asked to be taught the way John taught his disciples, but Jesus taught them to pray like the way son talks to this father.

"Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name." Thy KINGDOM Come, Thy will be on Earth

This part has to deals with praises and admiration to the father. In our culture, it's like the greeting we give to our parents. Or like this "Daddy your looking good this morning" admiration.

After admiration, "Give us this Day our daily bread". Time would not permit us to really go deep into this, but in an attempt on it, here talks about asking for our daily need. I tell people that "our daily bread" does not kill a man but what kills a man is the desire to gather the daily bread for a month, or a year at once. In the Jewish culture, they don't joke with bread. In fact if there's nothing else in the house, there will always be flour to bake bread.
So when we say give us today our daily bread, we are saying, Lord satisfy us today in the areas of our need.

"Forgive us our trespasses, AS (the same way) we forgive those who trespass against us."
Now this is the part that scares me the most. Here we are begging God for mercy and forgiveness, but we are also telling him to take a clue from how we forgive those that sin against us. In other words, we are saying, "Lord if I find it difficult to forgive others that have offended me, please and please, find it difficult to forgive me".
"Lead us Not into temptation, but deliver us from all evil"
We are simply asking God here to be our guide and protector from any kind of wickedness and plot if the evil one - the devil.

*"For Thy is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, Now and forever"*
This is the point where after you've made your request to your father and then you say "Thank you Daddy"... It is the place if Thanksgiving and admiration.

Now my question is, Which part of your life wasn't covered in this prayer?

But mind you, this prayer is not for everybody. Just the same way that a stranger cannot walk into our home now and ask my Daddy for his car keys.
This prayer are for those who have known the father, those who are longing and thirsty for a deeper intimacy with God.

Let me say this in summary with so much authority. It is not your shouting, repetition or fasting that makes your prayer effective but your relationship with the FATHER.
Fasting and speaking in Tongues is okay, but without relationship with God, you can only but receive mercy drops.

There is a "How to Pray".
Lord, please teach us how to Pray.
Shalom!
